November is here and the book selection has been made!

The title for the 2017 Kansas Reads to Preschoolers book is The Napping House by Audrey Wood.  Please join us this November in celebrating the importance of reading in the lives of Kansas children.

Although early childhood education professionals, librarians, parents and caregivers statewide celebrate the importance of reading in the lives of young Kansans every day, once a year, during the month of November, it is our goal that all Kansas children, birth through age five, experience the joy of an incredible story.

The Napping House is this year’s incredible story.  This is a tale about a cozy bed, a snoring granny, a dreaming child, a dozing dog, a snoozing cat and slumbering mouse. One by one the characters snuggle up in a pile until a tiny unwelcome guest appears on the scene.

Check out your local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency and public library for Kansas Reads to Preschoolers events in your area.
