Quality Initiatives

Child Care Quality Initiative

The Child Care Quality Initiative (CCQI) project is a long standing, engaging project built on years of experience and feedback.  Child care providers are supported in making changes in their programs that result in improved practices and increased support for children and families. 

Child Care Health Consultant Network

Child Care Health Consultants are available to provide tailored coaching and support for child care programs to improve overall health and safety for children in their care.

Links to Quality

Links to Quality works with programs to build upon their strengths “linking” together the programs with resources through local Learning Communities.

Breastfeeding Designation

Providers interested in obtaining a Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care designation can receive support through Child Care Aware of Kansas. Check out our Breastfeeding Toolkit to learn more.

Social-Emotional Technical Assistance (Saline County only)

This initiative offers a year-long project partnering with family child care providers to make sure that children enter kindergarten ready to learn.
