State and Federal Funding Programs

Several ongoing state and federal programs provide direct financial support to Kansas child care providers.

Kansas Child Care Subsidy Program: When families receive state child care assistance, that funding flows directly to licensed providers as payment for care. Being licensed and listed with CCAKS ensures your program is visible to families receiving subsidy. Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP): CACFP provides federal reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks served to eligible children in your care. For family child care homes, participation can meaningfully offset daily operating costs.
