Step 1

Start by Listening to Your Employees

Before you decide on a solution, find out what your workforce actually needs. A simple survey can reveal how much child care challenges are affecting your team and what kinds of support would make the biggest difference. CCAKS has developed an employer survey you can use for this step. Fill out our request form and someone from our team will send it to you.

Know Your Options

Child Care Solutions Guide for Businesses

Every business is different. The solutions that work for a large manufacturer may not work for a small retailer, and that's okay. Our Child Care Solutions Guide walks you through the full range of options, from on-site child care to flexible scheduling to employee subsidies, with practical guidance on how to evaluate what fits your organization.

Financial Incentive

Kansas Employer Child Care Tax Credit

Kansas businesses may be eligible for a state income tax credit of up to 75% of qualifying child care expenses, including costs related to paying for employees' child care, establishing or expanding a child care program, or contributing to organizations that expand child care access in your community. Senate Bill 82, signed into law in April 2026, expands the existing credit with a higher cap and broader eligible expenses.
