New Executive Director Named at Child Care Aware of Kansas
Christi Smith has been named as the new executive director of Child Care Aware of Kansas (CCAKS).
Board President Kari Mailloux made the announcement following an extensive search.

You do your best to create a safe, healthy, and enriching place for kids to learn and grow. But meeting everyone’s needs while juggling everything on your own can sometimes feel impossible.
You need — and you deserve — support from the state and community you serve. That’s what Child Care Aware of Kansas is here to offer.
The Child Care Health Consultant Network is a free service available to all licensed child care providers in the state of Kansas. Focused on promoting health, safety, and wellness in child care environments, we offer one-on-one coaching and planning sessions, wherever and whenever you need it.
Links to Quality provides community consultants who coach, consult, and connect programs with resources and other providers through local Learning Communities.

This initiative offers a year-long partnership with family child care providers to make sure that children enter kindergarten with skills to help them learn.
